What he is saying is that your character is what makes you. If you are honest than that is your character but if you are not that is a bad character. So it’s better to have a better honest character than to have a dishonest character.

Honesty is always the best policy. Employers need to know that they can trust you with everything from company credit cards to trade secrets. How can you work at honesty? You demonstrate integrity every day that you do your own homework and resist the temptation to cheat on exams.

What is honesty?

·       Honesty is straightforward conduct.

·       Honesty is being sincere, truthful, trustworthy, honorable, fair, genuine, and loyal with integrity.

You are being honest when you….

·       Do your own homework

·       Tell a friend the truth.

·       Explain the real reason you didn’t turn in your homework

·       Keep your eyes on your paper

·       Cleanup your room after making a promise

·       Give cashier the extra money she gave you by mistake.

·       Write a report in your own words instead of copying

·       Admit you made the mistake

·       Keep a friends secret

·       Turn in a wallet full of money that you found

What he is saying is that don’t pay attention to if you’re going to win or not just think about how you have to play and to have fun while doing it. If you think about it too much you won’t be calm and have fun. For example: if you are doing a test don’t focus on thinking I’m going to get an f just try to remember and just do what you do best
